General Game Rules: |
1.1 Cherry Championship GAME FORMAT:
- Version: Warcraft III ¨ Frozen Throne expansion set v.1.24b
- Map: 6.61c
Cherry Championship (DOTA) is a Double Elimination Tournament.
Each Team will compete in elimination matches within the 2 tournament days.
Victory is awarded to the Team that can defeat the opposing Team’s main Throne first.

Final Team A and Team B will face-off in the Grand Final on Sunday, 20th September.
3rd placing Team must return on Sunday for prize presentation.
1.2 GAME SETTINGS:
- Drafting Mode: Captains Mode & Observer Info (-CMOI typed in game)
- Game Speed: Fast
- Banned Hero: none
1.3 MATCH PROCEDURES:
Matches will commence according to the tournament schedule for both Day 1 & Day 2 of event.
Participants are encouraged to keep themselves informed about the schedule in order to avoid any delay or default loss.
- Only teams who has ALL 5 members present at the registration counters on the event day will be allowed into the tournament area.
- Assigned Tournament base for each Team is fixed.
- Each Team will be represented by their Team leader.
- Matches and opponent Teams will be assign on a 1st come, 1st serve basis by the Admins.
- No refusal of matches is allowed if the Teams have not played against each other before.
- At the end of each Match, Team Leader will be responsible to take a screenshot of the result page.
Rolling:
The following procedure must be applied in order to decide 1st-pick and game side: the match will begin with a rolling (-roll in game) and winner of the rolling will get to choose: (a) Sentinel/Scourge side of the map or (b) First hero selection from drafting (both bans and picks)
Alternatively teams can request their assigned Game Marshal Leader for a coin toss.
If the teams don't care about the side, they may leave the draft start to random.
If the teams rolled for the start, then type -cm1 for Sentinel start or -cm2 for Scourge start depending on which side should start the draft.
1.4 TEAMS AND PLAYERS:
Each Team is responsible for finding their own team members.
Each Team must consist of 5 participating members. Only an additional ONE reserve player is allowed to be appointed.
1.5 REFEREES/STREAMERS (OBSERVERS):
Only Game Marshals will be allowed to enter observer mode.
Only selected Teams will be assigned to active observer mode.
1.6 PLAYDAY AND SCHEDULE:
Play days and deadlines must be respected.
Day 1: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Day 2: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Matches not played within the assigned play days and deadlines will not be recognize as a tournament match.
If a Team encounters serious problems to contact his/her team members on the tournament day(s), the Team Leader or a Team representative must inform the Admins.
If a Team needs to postpone a game after it has commence, the Team Leader must ask for Game Marshal for approval.
Match winner Team must report the results to their respective Game Marshal Leader after each match has ended.
1.7 PENALTY & MISCONDUCT
Participating Teams and players must always have good manners and respect other players and the Admin/organization staff.
Team Leader is responsible for his/her team member’s conduct.
A team may receive a demerit point of -3 or disqualification if one of his players commits any of the following:
- refuses to follow tournament official rules
- uses insulting language
- makes fun of the opponent players or the Game Marshals
- shows an unsporting behaviour
- tries to scam the Game Marshals
A player may receive a warning or result in his/her Team receiving -3 demerit points if he commits any of the following:
- refuses to follow tournament official rules
- uses insulting language
- makes fun of the opponent players or the admin staff
- shows an unsporting behaviour
- tries to scam Game Marshals
In any of the above cases, if Game Marshals are not present, the game has to be played till the end and the replay/screens be provided to the Organizer for investigation.
1.8 INVESTIGATION REQUESTS
For any complaints and problems may arise, teams can request an investigation by Admins.
Investigation requests must always come with adequate and enough proofs. Requests with inadequate or no proofs will not be handled.
The Organizer reserve the rights to take decisions which are unquestionable.

Game Play Rules: |
2.1 GENERAL RULES
Backdooring:
- Backdooring is allowed
Sharing of Items:
- Sharing of items is allowed as long as the game permits. It is not allowed to suicide to pass Rapier.
Item Restrictions:
- There are no item restrictions
Abuses & Exploitation:
** Hero Trapping (Warning or Game Loss):
Intentionally trapping enemies into trees or holes is not allowed.
** Pause/Resume Abuse (Warning or Game Loss):
You may pause at the beginning of the game for tunneling the host and to wait everyone to arrive (maximum of 3 minutes). If the 3 minutes passed, then you must resume and do the hero drafts.
From this point on pausing without any valid reason is disallowed. Resuming the game without the other team confirming that they are ready is not allowed either. Teams that are constantly pausing or resuming to ruin the game will receive a game loss. If someone pauses the game without a valid reason will receive a warning.
** Creep Blocking (Warning or Game Loss):
Creep blocking permanently is not allowed but creep slowing/delay or luring is allowed. It is not allowed to block creeps with the help of spells, such as fissure, sprout etc. it is only allowed to use the hero model to intercept with creeps (accidental blocks are okay, as long as the fissure - for example - was directed at an opposing hero).
** Base Entrance Blocking (Warning or Game Loss):
It's not allowed to block the base entrance for defensive purpose with the help of spells, such as fissure (accidental blocks are okay, as long as the fissure - for example - was directed at an opposing hero)
*** Bugs Exploitation (Warning, Game Loss or Disqualification):
No Exploitation of any known old or new bug discovered during game play. No excuses will be entertained. Ignorance is not an excuse. Participants/Teams are expected to know what these bugs are. Participants/teams that experience any abnormal game play are advised to inform the marshal on duty immediately.
Definition of "bugs" :
- Anything abnormal which will give a player/team an unfair advantage.
- Anything which will cause interruption/fatal error to the game.
Cheating (Disqualification):
Any kind of cheat is strictly prohibited. Warkeys/Dotakeys are allowed.
** The game has to be played till the end in any situations and the replay/screens be sent to the The Organizer for investigation.
*** If the game did not crash, then the game has to be played till the end and the replay be sent to the The Organizer for investigation.
2.2 DISCONNECTIONS:
Teams are persuaded to save their games frequently during a match in order to compensate for disconnections (every 15th – 30th minutes).
In the event of a disconnection, the The Organizer reserve the rights to restart the match, continue the match from last save point or determine match outcome on a case-by-case basis.
The Organisers shall not be held responsible for any unforeseen circumstances arising from network or technical difficulties. All Teams are requested to settle any disputes and irregularities amicably. If in doubt, Teams must contact and inform the The Organizer or Game Marshals.

Penalties Awarded |
• Player Warning:
After a warning is given, the game goes on. If a player accumulates 2 warnings during the tournament, the Team will be banned from entering into the next match within 60 minutes after the current match has ended.
Upon receiving the 3rd warning, the player will be banned.
• Team Warning:
If a team breaks one of the minor rules or several of its players are warned during a game, then the team receives a warning. If the team collects two warnings, then their last game where they broke the rules will be resulted as a Loss for them no matter what the in game result was. Victory will be awarded to the opposing team.
Upon receiving the 3rd warning, the team will be disqualified.
• Game Loss:
Game Loss: game loss given to a team means that the team loses the current game no matter what the result of that game is. A win would be awarded to the opponent instead.
• Disqualifications:
A team disqualified will be ejected from the tournament. They will not be able to further continue the current event. None of their players on the roster are allowed to join any other teams during the tournament. Using any of these players as ringers will result with the disqualification of the team using them.
• Bans:
A player banned is no more able to play any of the tournaments games. Dodging the player's suspension by fake/multi-accounting will result in the disqualification of the team
The Organizer will judge all cases in accordance with the rules and the spirit of fair play. Organizer reserves the rights to amend the rules at any stage of the tournament.
Organizer decisions are final.
